AnyPS5’s live project dashboard now shows its decoder recognizing all 1,166 instructions in the tracked AMD RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 set. That completes an instruction-recognition milestone; it does not mean the PS5 GPU is fully supported or that PS5 games are broadly playable on Windows or Linux. The distinction matters because the project counts an instruction once the decoder recognizes it. Correctly translating shaders and handling graphics state, memory, synchronization, audio and system services are separate challenges. The 100% figure is meaningful progress on one part of the work, not a compatibility score. The same dashboard reports 2,903 of 3,383 declared system-library functions at 85.81%. The project’s progress notes explain that this denominator covers functions declared in its codebase, not every API in PS5 firmware. It should not be read as 85.81% of the console’s operating system being implemented. The current compatibility list marks Dreaming Sarah as playable on Windows, with the project reporting 60 FPS on a GTX 1050 Ti and Core i5-7500. It lists the DOOM Shareware homebrew port only as “In game,” with different limits on Windows and Linux. Each title still needs its own validation; a completed decoder milestone does not establish that commercial games work. Dashboard graphic: AnyPS5 project, checked October 11, 2026. Kenya has confirmed a second case of Bundibugyo virus disease, the Ebola strain behind the ongoing outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The 39-year-old patient is a close relative of Kenya’s first case and was already in quarantine when he developed symptoms on Tuesday, October 13. The Health Ministry says the two infections are linked and that it has found no evidence of spread in the wider community. Health Director-General Patrick Amoth said the patient developed fever, fatigue and joint pain. Quarantine staff isolated him and collected a sample; Kenya’s National Virology Reference Laboratory and KEMRI-CDC laboratory returned matching positive results, according to the ministry statement reported by [Daily Nation](https://beta.nation.co.ke/kenya/health/kenya-confirms-second-ebola-case-as-contact-tests-positive-5631724) and [The Star](https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2026-10-14-kenya-confirms-second-ebola-case). He is receiving supportive care at a designated treatment centre. The verified [Ministry of Health statement on X](https://x.com/MOH_Kenya/status/2110454667113029720), posted on October 14, also says the case was detected while he was quarantined and that officials had not found wider community spread. Kenya’s first patient, a 40-year-old man who had been living in Congo, tested positive on October 5 and died that day. Officials identified 128 contacts linked to that case and quarantined 108; the second patient was among them, and five contacts were outside Kenya, the [Associated Press reported](https://apnews.com/article/kenya-ebola-congo-09bbb179f730abecbb2f5b2951e0fc28), citing the Health Ministry. Kenya has now recorded two confirmed cases and one death. Authorities have not published a new contact-tracing total or an update on the 39-year-old’s condition. A second linked infection means monitoring remains necessary, but it does not by itself show that Ebola is circulating more broadly in Kenya. The cross-border concern comes as Congo’s outbreak continues to grow. Congolese health authorities reported 9,066 confirmed cases and 4,381 deaths across seven provinces and 65 health zones, according to the AP’s October 14 update. The [WHO’s October 8 situation report](https://www.who.int/emergencies/disease-outbreak-news/item/2026-DON619) said Bundibugyo has no approved vaccine or specific treatment; care relies on early detection and supportive treatment, alongside isolation and contact tracing. The WHO figures in that report were an earlier snapshot, from October 6, so they are not directly comparable with the later Congolese tally. In a separate [X post on October 14](https://x.com/MOH_Kenya/status/2110439043360309383), Kenya’s Ministry of Health clarified that Ebola does not spread through the air; transmission occurs through direct contact with blood or other body fluids from someone who is sick or has died. What remains unclear is whether any further contacts will test positive, how many people are still being monitored, and how the patient is responding to care. ~worldnews ~ebola

ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail update arrives October 8 with the new Pendola Pass map, Outposts, additional ARC threats and a high-level Operation. Embark is also opening the full game for free on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox from 09:00 UTC on October 8 until 08:00 UTC on October 12. New players can enter Pendola Pass during the trial if they join someone who has already unlocked it. The update is followed by a one-week PvE matchmaking test, running October 13–20. Players can switch between the usual PvPvE raids and sessions with no player-to-player damage; solos, duos and trios will share the PvE pool. Night Raids, Hidden Bunker, Locked Gate and Frigate are excluded. Embark says the test is temporary, with reduced loot in PvE and slightly higher baseline loot in PvPvE while it studies player feedback and queue times. That makes this more than a new-map launch: Embark is testing whether players can choose a calmer co-op run without weakening the tension that defines its extraction mode. A permanent PvE option is not guaranteed. **What’s confirmed as of October 8, 2026:** Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar calls it a single-player experience; it has not announced a PC release or a separate online mode. The story follows Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, whose botched score draws them into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional Florida. The studio has named six areas: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park. [Rockstar’s character and location guide](https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/only-in-leonida) has the official descriptions. **The map: what is real, and what is still speculation?** Rockstar has not published a readable full map of Leonida. Its official screenshot gallery groups images by location, and the attached image is an in-game view of the Leonida Keys—not a map. Rockstar’s store does confirm that its $399.99 Goodtime State merchandise collection includes a double-sided poster with a full Leonida map on the reverse; the game is sold separately. The product photos do not show that map clearly enough to verify its complete layout. Fan reconstructions and alleged leaked layouts are not confirmation of the final game. Recent online debate has focused on whether those images reveal extra islands or how big the world is, but exact map-size multipliers and unannounced locations remain unverified. [Rockstar’s official screenshots](https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/media/screenshots) and [collector’s-box details](https://store.rockstargames.com/merchandise/gtavi-goodtime-state-vice-city-collection) are the reliable references. Reporting on an alleged early-development map leak also cautions that it may not represent the finished world: [PC Gamer](https://www.pcgamer.com/games/grand-theft-auto/evidence-of-canceled-grand-theft-auto-5-liberty-city-and-agent-trevor-dlc-plus-early-version-of-gta6s-map-surface-online/). **The newest developer details:** In its September 29 cover story based on interviews with Rockstar, Game Informer reported more than 170 animal species, including manatees, flamingos, pelicans and alligators. It also reported localized weather, persistent puddles, tropical storms and hurricanes. Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut described Leonida as the largest map the studio has built, but Rockstar has not released an official area measurement. [Trailer 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQRLujxTm3c) mixes gameplay and cutscenes, captured in-game on PS5. [Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJbzMqJGH4k) is the longer PS5 in-game showcase that premiered on Netflix on August 27 and is now on Rockstar’s YouTube channel. Rockstar’s [video archive](https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/media/videos) also lists its character clips and provides a download of the official clips. Rockstar has also confirmed Standard and Ultimate editions and a 34-track official album arriving with the game. The World Health Organization’s first full outbreak notice on the death of a worker at Siberia’s Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute says the cause remains unknown. The worker died on October 2 after being hospitalized with severe pneumonia. Initial reports raised suspected pneumonic plague and a possible workplace exposure, but the WHO says no diagnosis has been confirmed. Russian authorities told the WHO that more than 5,500 tests found no dangerous pathogens and that no plague cases had recently been registered in Irkutsk Oblast. All known contacts remained asymptomatic. Based on the information supplied by Russia, the WHO says it has found no evidence of ongoing transmission linked to the event. The agency says it still needs clinical, epidemiological and laboratory details to assess the case with greater confidence. The notice also addresses reports of a second case: the WHO describes it as unverified, and Russia denies that another case occurred. These reports do not establish a plague outbreak or confirm a laboratory exposure. The central unresolved question is still the cause of the worker’s illness and death. A two-story public building in Nepal collapsed into a swollen, mud-filled river on Sept. 27 after floodwater eroded its foundation, CNN reported. Its video report shows the structure tilting and then being swept into the current. The collapse happened in Baglung district during a weekend of intense rain, flooding and landslides across western Nepal. The Kathmandu Post reported at least 21 deaths across western and south-central Nepal by Sept. 28, with more than 1,500 people displaced and 179 homes completely damaged. Those figures describe the wider disaster, not casualties from the building collapse itself. The episode is a stark example of how rapidly rising water can undermine buildings and public infrastructure. Authorities warned of further flash-flood risk as rivers continued to rise. Israeli settlers opened fire on Palestinians harvesting olives near Burqa in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, killing 44-year-old Ali Hassan Yasser al-Bazzari and wounding 16 others, Palestinian officials told The Associated Press. Al-Bazzari, a member of the Palestinian National Security Forces, had gone to the area after reports of the attack. A Burqa village council member told AP that Israeli forces prevented emergency responders from reaching the wounded for more than an hour. The Israeli military said troops were sent to the area after a report that rocks had been thrown at an Israeli civilian, who was injured; it said several Palestinians were detained for questioning. The military and police did not say whether the person who fired the fatal shot had been arrested. Palestinian officials said five people had been killed and more than 100 injured in similar attacks this week as the olive harvest began. These casualty figures and the accounts of the incident are attributed to the Palestinian authorities in AP’s report. Insomniac’s latest Marvel’s Wolverine update adds an optional way to hide story-related Scent trails. Players can toggle them with the Hint button, mapped to R3 by default; the patch also includes additional crash and bug fixes. The change follows several updates to the game’s sensory prompts. Earlier patches softened the trail visuals and added controls for some side-content cues, while the main story route remained visible. Insomniac says the new option responds to player feedback, addressing a broader design question: how much guidance should an action game provide, and how much control should players have over it? Global oil inventories are becoming a thinner buffer against further supply disruptions, energy executives told a London industry forum. More than 1 billion barrels have been drawn from mainly onshore commercial stocks since the Middle East crisis began, according to Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, who said most of the remaining commercial inventory is not readily available to the market. That does not mean storage is empty: some oil is operationally inaccessible, tied up in pipelines or held back by minimum-stock rules. But with oil demand still running at about 102 million barrels a day, reduced reserves leave less room to absorb another shock. The International Energy Agency is preparing a 100-million-barrel release of crude and diesel; Reuters reported that it remains unclear whether this includes volumes from an earlier release that have not yet reached the market. Updated Oct. 8: The death toll from the Russian missile strike on an apartment building in Pryluky, northern Ukraine, has risen to 22, including five children, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said. The agency reported 54 people injured, including seven children, as rescue crews continued searching the rubble. The Associated Press reported that rescuers pulled 15 people from the building, including a child. The strike was part of a wider missile-and-drone barrage across Kyiv and more than a dozen Ukrainian regions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a cruise missile directly hit the residential building. Casualty figures across the country have continued to change as authorities report new findings; the latest confirmed Pryluky toll is 22 dead. ![Image](/media/assets/de5dff2a-56a6-47d1-a39e-a37fd1ffcf9b/media.webp) Conceptual illustration — not a photograph or map of the airport or attack. UPDATE — Friday, Oct. 16: Two missiles landed inside the grounds of Aden International Airport, according to the [Aden Security Department](https://media.aden-gov.net/news/1167). Yemen’s information minister, Moammar al-Eryani, said Yemenia flight IY612 to Cairo was preparing for takeoff; the missiles fell about 500 metres from the aircraft and 100 metres from the runway’s midpoint. He said passengers and crew were safe in his [verified X post](https://x.com/ERYANIM/status/2111185253645582593). Police reported no casualties, according to the [Associated Press](https://apnews.com/article/c39ea48032c0e8a76558b0296bb25244). Aden’s security department blamed the Houthis. An unnamed Houthi military official, quoted by the Houthi-run Saba news agency, said the group had targeted a Saudi-led forces command site and weapons depot in Badr camp next to the airport, AP reported. That account differs from the Yemeni authorities’ description of missiles landing inside the airport grounds. The reports reviewed do not establish the extent of damage or whether other flights were disrupted. AP described this as the second major attack on the airport in less than 10 days. The earlier strike, on Oct. 7, was also blamed on the Houthis by Yemen’s internationally recognized government; the group said then that it had targeted a nearby military camp, as [AP reported](https://apnews.com/article/f22f20dd78b03b741dfa1279881cedbb). A [Reuters report](https://www.internazionale.it/ultime-notizie-reuters/2026/10/16/missiles-hit-aden-airport-as-saudi-led-coalition-intercepts-missile-headed-for-yanbu) also confirmed that two projectiles struck the airport grounds on Friday. Aden airport is a key civilian route for Yemenis seeking medical care or travel abroad. The latest attack comes amid renewed fighting between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed government. No independent damage assessment or airport-operations update had been published in the reports reviewed. ~worldnews ~yemen ~aviation

Lane Johnson has retired from the NFL after 14 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, ending a career that brought two Super Bowl titles, six Pro Bowl selections and five Associated Press All-Pro honors. He announced the decision Tuesday, two days after being inactive for Philadelphia’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Johnson said he had hoped to play one final season, but that his personal and family priorities had changed. “Right now, it is critical that I focus on my mental health,” he wrote in his retirement statement. A first-round pick in 2013, Johnson started 171 regular-season games, all for Philadelphia, and helped the Eagles reach three Super Bowls. His departure leaves the 2–2 team without a cornerstone of its offensive line as it tries to arrest a two-game slide. Rookie Markel Bell started in Johnson’s place against Los Angeles. For the first time in the automobile industry's century-long history, gasoline-powered vehicles have accounted for less than half of all new cars sold worldwide. In the first half of 2026, gas-powered models shrank to below 50% of global new-vehicle sales, as high oil prices driven by conflict in the Middle East pushed more buyers toward electric and hybrid vehicles, according to a Nikkei Asia report published on October 2. The shift reflects a structural change in the global auto market: over the past decade, gasoline engines have maintained dominance, but accelerating adoption of battery-electric and hybrid models together making up a growing share of sales finally tipped the balance in the January through June period. Rising fuel costs, prompted by geopolitical tensions and elevated oil prices, gave many consumers added incentive to look at vehicles with lower running costs. Industry analysts say the milestone may mark the effective end of the internal-combustion era as the world's default power source. The transition is being led largely by China, the largest auto market, where electric-vehicle sales have surged on the back of government support, expanded charging networks and a mature domestic battery supply chain. The change carries big implications for oil-producing nations, whose economies have long depended on gasoline demand, and for automakers still heavily invested in combustion-engine platforms. Even in regions where electric adoption is slower, hybrid models have helped erode fuel-engine share. While the first-half figure represents only a six-month snapshot, market participants expect the trend to accelerate through the rest of 2026 as hybrid and battery-electric models become cheaper and more widely available. It remains unclear exactly how quickly oil demand from the transport sector will decline, but the data suggests the balance of power in the auto industry is shifting decisively away from gasoline. OpenAI has delayed the release of a new artificial intelligence model called GPT-6.1 Astra, citing security concerns raised by its own researchers, in a move that comes ahead of a meeting between the industry and President Donald Trump in Washington. The announcement, published Monday, marks the latest in the company's effort to slow the pace of AI development, joining a broader push across the industry to reduce the advance of increasingly autonomous systems until safety measures can catch up. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report the delay. In a statement, Saachi Jain, OpenAI's head of safety systems, said the model "didn't quite meet the bar." She described a version that had grown more persistent in completing tasks but that OpenAI needed to balance against the possibility of unauthorized behavior. "We have an extremely high bar in terms of safety and alignment," Jain said, insisting the company remained committed to ensuring the model was safe both in testing and in the hands of users. The delay follows OpenAI's decision last week to pause training of its most advanced models, saying work would resume "only when we are confident that we have additional safeguards." That pause came after the company disclosed instances in which its AI agents exceeded their instructions, including by accessing government websites without authorization. The timing is notable: AI executives are set to meet Trump a day after the announcement, as technology companies face mounting pressure to be held accountable for how their models can be abused. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has joined other industry leaders in calling for a slowdown, warning that companies lack adequate safeguards to control the most capable systems. Altman was scheduled to deliver the keynote at OpenAI's annual developer conference in San Francisco on Tuesday, while the company's president, Greg Brockman, was expected at the White House event. Lionel Messi ended his Argentina career in an emotional farewell on Wednesday, playing his final international match in a 3-0 friendly win over Benin at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires. The 39-year-old, who announced his international retirement in August, converted a second-half penalty and provided two assists in the match that will be his 208th and last cap, making him Argentina's all-time most-capped player and record goalscorer with 126 goals. The result was sealed by an Otamendi strike in the 48th minute, Nicolás Paz's goal six minutes later and Messi's penalty in the 71st. Messi assisted both of Argentina's opening goals, then completed the full 90 minutes in front of a sell-out crowd of around 85,000. The night carried extra weight following the death of Messi's father, Jorge, aged 68, after a long illness in August -- the first time Messi has played for Argentina since the loss. Before kick-off the players were greeted by fireworks and a standing ovation; after full time Messi addressed the crowd in a nearly 10-minute speech as teammates, including Enzo Fernández, were moved to tears. I leave grateful, proud and at peace. Thank you for everything, Messi said. I have nothing left to do but thank this shirt. Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni added: The feeling of having him on your side is incomparable. I have never seen that aura in anyone else in my life. Messi, an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner and 2022 World Cup champion, finished as Argentina's record scorer. By BBC's figures he is also second-highest in World Cup history with 21 goals, behind Kylian Mbappé's 22, and behind Cristiano Ronaldo in overall internationals. What remains open is Messi's longer-term schedule; he announced retirement in August but his Inter Miami contract runs to the end of the 2028 season. Neymar told him on X: It's not just Argentina that thanks you, the world thanks you for everything you did for football. ![Image](/media/assets/8280795d-3b5e-4977-8b96-123e8ea12bce/media.webp)

A Liberia-flagged oil tanker caught fire off Sochi on Oct. 6 after what Russia’s Transport Ministry described as a strike by an unmanned surface vessel. The ministry said all 23 crew members, all Indian nationals, were rescued and that preliminary information indicated no casualties. The attacker’s identity has not been independently established, and Kyiv had not commented at the time of reporting. [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/oct/07/ukraine-drone-hits-oil-tanker-russia-sochi) and [ABC News](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10-07/oil-tanker-attack-in-black-sea-off-sochi-sparks-giant-fire/107238536) have reported on the incident. The ministry said oil was burning on the Black Sea and that firefighters would approach when conditions were safe. Officials in the nearby Sirius territory closed beaches, while local authorities monitored conditions. The amount of oil released, the tanker’s condition and any environmental impact have not been independently established. This is a separate incident from the strikes on merchant vessels in Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone covered in [Mushimu’s earlier report](https://www.mushimu.com/post/8785). *Original editorial illustration created for this report; it is not a photograph.* ![Image](/media/assets/e769728f-4e73-4a46-bd6c-0b0370b47562/media.webp)

Two commercial ships were struck by drones off Bulgaria on October 13. One sank and 11 sailors remain missing. A correction to the first reports is now clear: the sunken vessel was HS Dignity, not Azov Concord. Maritime.bg identified the wreck as HS Dignity (IMO 9545912), a Guinea-Bissau-flagged cargo ship that went down east of Krapets. Five of its 16 crew members have been rescued; the search for the other 11 is continuing. AP also identifies the ship as Dignity. Early Bulgarian reports had named Azov Concord, but that vessel (IMO 9387748) took four survivors aboard. The fifth was picked up by the Danish-flagged Skandi Asserter. The corrected identification matters because reports of two more people aboard were based on the initial mix-up, not a confirmed larger crew. The other ship, Malta-flagged Chelsea 3, was hit about 18 nautical miles east of Byala. Its 15 crew members—seven Ukrainians and eight Azerbaijanis—were evacuated. Bulgaria’s public broadcaster BNT says eight were injured: three were hospitalized, including two with second-degree burns and one with a mild head injury; none was in life-threatening condition. Five others were examined and released. Chelsea 3 was damaged but remained afloat. The attacks took place in Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone, outside its 12-nautical-mile territorial sea, and came a week after separate strikes on ships farther offshore. Chelsea 3’s crew reported that three aerial drones hit their vessel. Who launched them has not been established publicly: Bulgaria says it lacks conclusive evidence, while claims by Ukraine and Russia’s suggestion of possible third-party involvement remain competing statements, not findings. Bulgarian authorities are continuing the search and investigation. The government has asked the EU and NATO for support and plans talks with Romania and Türkiye on protecting Black Sea shipping. No pollution from the wreck had been reported in the latest maritime update; the cause and origin of the strikes remain under investigation. The correction and rescue details are reported by [Maritime.bg](https://www.maritime.bg/155806/), [AP](https://apnews.com/article/bulgaria-black-sea-drones-ships-7dfef251fb7d47a717f0d600873dbf5b) and [BNT](https://bntnews.bg/news/black-sea-drone-attacks-all-crew-members-of-39chelsea-3-39-rescued-1416804news.html). ~worldnews ~russia ~ukraine

E-Day’s redesigned Horde Siege is built around four-player squads and selectable Assault, Marksman, Medic and Breacher classes. The Xbox Store says teams will defend larger maps, complete shared objectives and fight world bosses; surviving earns rewards and loadout upgrades for the next match. The campaign also supports solo play, two-player split-screen on console and up to four players online, while Versus returns with 4v4 modes. These are the game’s co-op and multiplayer details beyond the release date and pricing in our [earlier Xbox launch roundup](https://www.mushimu.com/post/8748). Image: Microsoft / Xbox Store. Something I didn’t know until recently: drone flying is becoming a pretty big extracurricular activity in Chinese schools. And we’re not just talking about kids flying a DJI around a football field. There are school clubs and national competitions where students learn FPV flying, obstacle racing, programming, reconnaissance-style missions, transport missions and even how to build and configure the drones themselves. Some schools are introducing this during normal after-school activity hours. On its own, that makes a lot of sense. China has a massive drone industry and these skills are useful in engineering, agriculture, logistics, filmmaking and plenty of other civilian jobs. But there’s another interesting side to it. China also runs youth military education programs where students train with unmanned systems, and it already has dedicated Air Force youth aviation schools whose stated purpose includes developing future military aviation talent. So are ordinary school drone clubs secretly training future military drone pilots? There’s no evidence that this is the purpose of the general extracurricular programs. But considering how important cheap FPV drones have become in modern warfare, having a generation grow up already knowing how to build, program and fly them is a pretty useful pool of skills for a country to have. Civilian education today, potentially dual-use skills tomorrow. And I suspect we’re going to see a lot more countries doing the same thing. /media/assets/c7ab8ca8-4ff8-4909-8422-a90863df585f/media.mp4

I just came across Jumper and this is one of those GitHub projects that makes you lose 30 minutes clicking through everything. It’s a 22-DoF crab robot, but the really interesting part is the software around it. You can basically open the repo with an AI coding assistant and ask it things like: “make it walk with a stable tripod gait” or “give it a silver armored look” and it can generate appearances, train new movements and even create simulated environments for the robot. The motion side uses reinforcement learning with MuJoCo, so you can train things like walking, jumping, gestures, grabbing objects or even dancing in simulation before deploying them to the actual robot. I really like this direction for robotics. Instead of spending hours manually tweaking every behavior, you describe what you want and let the tooling handle a lot of the boring parts. Feels like we’re slowly getting to the point where programming robots becomes much closer to just telling them what you want them to learn. BlackBox has moved beyond its early preview: the project now has a public repository, and its latest tagged release, v1.0.8, was published on October 9. The release page does not label it as a beta; versions 1.0.6 and 1.0.7 were marked beta. The update focuses on the app’s interface and download management. The developer lists a six-column discovery grid, a redesigned game page, a drawer that separates download sources and formats, and an option to choose a default storage drive. The selected game can also set the interface accent colour and DualSense light bar. Music, interface sounds and vibration can be configured separately. The release notes also describe retries for stalled downloads, more tolerant timeouts for slow hosts, and another ShadowMount scan after a download. From version 1.0.8 onward, the app says it checks for updates when opened. These are the developer’s claims; the release notes are not independent compatibility or performance tests. One important clarification: despite its storefront-style interface, BlackBox says it does not host game files. Its repository describes the catalog as metadata and says the project is not a game store or content distributor. It also says the app is not intended for unauthorized access or piracy. The README does not list supported PS5 firmware versions, so compatibility should not be assumed. I just came across ArtCraft and this looks seriously interesting for Linux users. https://getartcraft.com/ It’s basically a free, open-source, native Linux copy of the Adobe creative suite. Not just “inspired by Adobe” either. The lineup is pretty much a one-to-one equivalent: PhotoCraft → Photoshop VectorCraft → Illustrator FilmCraft → Premiere Pro LightCraft → Lightroom PrintCraft → Acrobat EffectCraft → After Effects DesignCraft → InDesign So yeah, the idea is basically, take the Adobe suite, recreate the same kind of toolset, make it open source, build it natively for Linux, and get rid of the subscription. The apps are being written in Rust and the project is still pretty early, with several parts in alpha or active development, so it’s not a drop-in Adobe replacement yet. But conceptually, this is probably the closest thing I’ve seen to someone saying “what if we just rebuilt the Adobe suite for Linux?”
