Verstappen takes first Singapore GP pole ahead of Leclerc and Hamilton
Max Verstappen will start Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix from pole after setting the fastest lap in qualifying, 1:31.373. Charles Leclerc was 0.054 seconds behind for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton third. The FIA says Hamilton led the first two qualifying segments, but Verstappen’s opening Q3 lap held up as Leclerc improved on his final attempt. It is Verstappen’s first Singapore Grand Prix pole. Kimi Antonelli qualified fourth and Lando Norris fifth. The 62-lap race is scheduled for 12:00 UTC on Sunday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Verstappen also won Saturday’s rain-affected Sprint; this qualifying result sets the grid for the main event. Read our separate [Sprint report](https://www.mushimu.com/post/8895).
