Russia drone strike hits near Polish border, Kyiv warns NATO
A Russian drone struck near Ukraine's border with Poland overnight in the town of Yahodyn, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on Sunday. He said the attack was not only another strike on Ukraine's borders but Putin's terror "knocking" directly on the doors of the EU and NATO. Polish border guards told Reuters the site was about 800 metres (less than a mile) from Polish territory and that the Dorohusk-Yahodyn crossing was briefly closed. Ukrainian Railways separately said a drone hit the locomotive of a passenger train in Volyn, about 2 km (1.2 miles) from the Polish border; no one was injured. Ukraine depends on crossings with Poland for a large share of military and humanitarian aid from its allies. Russia's Defence Ministry said it had targeted infrastructure facilitating military cargoes from Europe in western Ukraine.
