Saudi pipeline outage threatens up to 4% of global oil supply

Saudi Arabia could run out of export stocks within days if it does not restart its major east-west oil pipeline to the Red Sea, traders and buyers told Reuters. The pipeline has been offline since drone attacks forced a shutdown on Friday. The route has been carrying around 4 million barrels per day — about 4% of global supply — to the Red Sea port of Yanbu after wartime disruption of the Strait of Hormuz. Yanbu now holds stocks for only five to seven days of exports, according to industry sources. Riyadh has not given a clear timeline for repairs, with estimates ranging from a partial restart within days to several weeks. Reuters Question: How long can global markets absorb another major cut to Saudi oil exports? https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/saudi-pipeline-outage-threatens-loss-4-global-oil-supply-2026-09-13/
