UAE investigators classify FlyDubai cockpit attack as attempted terrorist act

The UAE attorney general said on October 3 that investigators believe the co-pilot of FlyDubai flight FZ1073 attempted a terrorist act, attacking the captain with a cockpit crash axe and trying to take control of the aircraft. The Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on September 30, where passengers and crew helped contain the incident and the aircraft landed safely.
