Russian attacks kill at least six across Ukraine and damage Kyiv bridge

Updated October 3: The Associated Press now reports that Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least six people and damaged Kyiv’s Northern Bridge, forcing traffic to stop. The capital had already faced full or partial closures of three of its six road bridges over the Dnipro during the previous two days. Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said the strike damaged the road surface and trolleybus cables; he reported two people wounded in the bridge attack. AP also reports that overnight strikes killed five people and wounded more than 40 in Kharkiv. The casualty toll and extent of damage across Ukraine are still developing. ![People clear rubble from a residential house damaged by a Russian airstrike in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on October 2.
