Xbox takes over publishing for Kojima’s PHYSINT after PlayStation steps away

Xbox and Kojima Productions confirmed that Xbox will publish PHYSINT — Hideo Kojima’s upcoming action-espionage game — expanding their partnership beyond OD. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma: “Creators have choices about where and how they bring their ideas to life. We’re honored that Kojima-san has chosen XBOX to work with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS on PHYSINT.” Kojima: “This expands our relationship with XBOX beyond OD. As we move forward with the development of PHYSINT, we remain committed to redefining the action-espionage genre for players around the world.” PlayStation previously stepped away from the project; Kojima said PlayStation Studios notified the studio of a cancellation in mid-June, after which Kojima Productions spent months securing a new partner.
