Blizzard confirmed a new StarCraft at BlizzCon 2026

Blizzard confirmed a new StarCraft at BlizzCon 2026 — an open-world shooter planned for 2030, led by former Far Cry boss Dan Hay. In an interview with GamesRadar+, Hay called it "an honor" and said the team "won the cosmic lottery" working on StarCraft. The game is set 70 years after Legacy of the Void; Blizzard has shown the animated Dominion announcement cinematic so far, not gameplay. Hay said putting a 2030 window on the wall this early is meant to show they're serious and confident about the date.
